Hi, I’m Ms. Bazmjow—at least, that’s what my students have always called me.

For the past 18 years, I’ve dedicated my career to education—teaching across public, private, and international schools in a variety of roles. My love for learning started with my father, a quiet and reflective man, who would spend hours reading, writing poetry, and copying verses by hand. One of his favorites was by Rumi:

"Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder."

His deep reverence for knowledge shaped me, though I didn’t initially see myself as a teacher. I studied Cultural Anthropology as an undergraduate, fascinated by societies and the forces that shape them. But the more I explored, the more I was drawn to education—not just as a profession, but as a powerful agent for change.

That realization led me to earn two master’s degrees in education, with my final focus on Educational Policy. As a child of immigrants, I’ve seen firsthand how education can transform lives. My work in classrooms and leadership roles has given me a unique perspective on the inner workings of schools—what’s working, what’s broken, and how we can do better.

Now, I write to spark conversations, challenge assumptions, and rethink the future of education. Let’s push for something better—together.
